Job Summary

The Project Manager position is in charge of taking a project from the concept phase to completion. The position works closely with our sales and operations departments to plan a project. The project manager is the main contact for the client and provides details of the project plan along with communication before and during the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Typical activities will vary according to the scope of work for each job working on but may include:

  • Enter daily scheduling items in to our company CRM program “Buildertrend” to organize and plan
  • Confirm logistics and customers’ requirements and/or expectations
  • Upload into Buildertrend all client documents as they become available.
  • Assist with contacting vendors as needed to confirm pricing, pallet quantity, freight rates, approx. lead times, etc. and any minimum order quantities required, etc. for a particular product.
  • Assist with on screen plan measurements as needed as well as site field measurements.
  • Assist with walk in customers on products to help assist customer in showroom if sales rep.not in.
  • Sales/Customer/Operations are documented communications are uploaded into Buildertrend.
  • Assist with Insurance and Permits as needed.
  • Create Documents to Job Folder and upload to buildertrend.
  • Help with samples, submittals, and material selections for projects with customer.
  • Participate in trade exhibitions and demonstrations
  • Update timely and accurately the A/R and/or AWA logs with detailed information as to collection of payments.
  • Once jobs sold, assist with SAGE Estimate and completing job file paperwork and filling out permits and review with sales rep. prior to turning in.
  • All other duties as assigned. 


  • BA/BS preferred or 2 years of similar on the job experience.
  • Flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as required
  • Must be highly organized and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office software, especially MS Excel
  • Ability measure the square footage of a job and estimate the dollar cost to complete project
  • Must be physically capable of performing job duties
  • Ability to pass both a Drug test and a Criminal background check and have valid FL driver license.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent knowledge of company’s products, software pricing practices, and selling skills
  • Construction background preferred
  • Flooring or Building materials related industry experience helpful, but not required
